ApneaRx works by a technique called ‘mandibular repositioning’ in which it advances and holds the lower jaw in a slightly forward position so that the airway is opened. Your medical professional may also help you fit the ApneaRx if you find it necessary.
Can I Breathe through My Mouth while Wearing ApneaRx?
Yes! ApneaRx lets you breathe completely naturally, through your mouth and nose. We recommend you do not buy any device that restricts breathing through your mouth or nose.
Custom Fitting Procedure
Follow these simple steps to custom fit your device.
(If using a microwave boil the water in an extra coffee cup)
Then remove using a spatula or tongs.
Fitting tips: While biting down, use a sucking motion to mold the heated material to the teeth. Use your tongue to press the material against your inner teeth. Use your fingers on the outside of your lips and cheeks to press the material against the outer teeth.
Note: ApneaRx works best with a deep impression of the teeth. If this does not occur, repeat steps 1-4.
