AIRPURA ON THE FRONT LINES: HOSPITALS
For two decades, Airpura air purifiers have been used in medical environments to abate particles that are being aerosolized through various medical procedures. COVID-19 represents the 5th pathogen where hospitals have employed the same air safety protocol. The last one being the SARS outbreak in 2003. The Airpura UV600 is currently being used in hospital waiting rooms, triage areas and emergency rooms to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. At the onset of the pandemic, Airpura UV600 air purifiers were used at the Wuhan Children’s Hospital to protect the staff and patients. Some of our many partners include: |

Airpura has been pleased to work with schools and daycares across the world helping them safely reopen. The use of portable air purifiers were part of a larger risk reduction strategy that included social distancing, wearing cloth masks, surface cleaning and disinfecting to provide clean air to both students and staff particularly during the winter months where opening the windows is not always possible. AIR SAFETY IN ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS WORKING ENVIRONMENTS: DENTAL CLINICS
Large amounts of aerosols and droplets are propelled into the air from the oral cavities of patients during grinding and polishing procedures which has rendered dental clinics one of the most dangerous working environments. Airpura has worked with thousands of dentists to develop proper infection control regimes using air purifiers in the operatories to help keep their staff and patients safe. AIRPURA'S MUST-SEE VIDEO! POWERFUL VIRUS CONTROL: THE UV600
Air filtration using high efficiency particle arrestance (HEPA) filters have become a critical weapon in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. The HEPA filter can trap the virus on the surface of the filter and prevent it from escaping back into the airstream. The UVC germicidal lamp provides an added level of protection against pathogens by destroying the outer protein coating of airborne viruses, which ultimately leads to inactivation of the virus. UVC technology has been used for decades in air filtration to destroy pathogens.

AIRPURA RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP WITH MCGILL UNIVERSITY
Airpura has embarked in a partnership with McGill University to develop innovative air filtration solutions. Some exciting test results include:
- Material used in Airpura's HEPA filters showed close to 100% aerosolized particle removal efficiency for nanoparticles. These particles are as small as 0.1 micron (100 nm)!
- The circumferential air outflow of the Airpura air purifiers make them less likely than air purifiers with vertical exhausts to disperse droplets from coughing or sneezing throughout the air drastically reducing the potential of one infected person causing an infection cluster.
